Those who believe in Him will not perish but will have eternal life.

WELCOME!

In order to get to know us better, let us answer some common questions...

WHO ARE WE?

Christ Lutheran Church is a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, which is the second largest Lutheran Church body in the United states. We are a traditional church in the sense that we use a liturgical worship service. And of course, we also use hymns that inspire us to know more about Jesus and grow in our faith.

OUR CHURCH MISSION

Christ is a ministry to the residents of Summit County and to those who are enjoying the high country. We welcome seasonal employees, vacationers, part-time residents, or those who are just in town for a day of skiing. If you would like to learn more about becoming a member or a part-time member, please contact us.

Visitors are always welcome at our Worship services. You will find a friendly, caring group of fellow worshipers.

WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?

We believe that the entire Bible is God's inspired and inerrant Word. Based on this understanding of the Word of God, we believe, teach and confess that Jesus, the Son of God, is the Savior of the World; that He was born of a virgin; lived a perfect, sinless life; died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins; rose physically from the dead so that we might also rise in both body and soul; and that He lives today as the only Lord of all.

ARE THERE PROGRAMS FOR MY CHILDREN ON SUNDAY MORNING?

Sunday School is at 9:15 for elementary school age children. We do have a nursery available during our worship service, we also have a “family room” where you can sit with your more active child and still hear the worship service. We welcome families sitting together in our services and encourage you to teach your children what it means to worship... even at the earliest age.

ARE THERE ADULT BIBLE STUDY OPPORTUNITIES OTHER THAN SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP TIMES?

There is an Adult Bible Class that meets during the Sunday School hour on Sunday morning at 9:15. Twice a month on Sunday evening there is a Bible study that meets outside of the church in homes. Contact the church office for information about current study topic, meeting place and time and other pertinent information.

ARE THERE YOUTH GROUP ACTIVITIES?

Yes. These are scheduled around school activities and other county activities, so contact the church office for further information and current youth schedule.

WHAT DO I WEAR TO A SUNDAY SERVICE?

Because we are a resort community, it is not inappropriate to come dressed casually to our church services. We want you to be comfortable with us, and we want you to come!

WHAT OPPORTUNITIES ARE THERE FOR ME TO CONNECT WITH OTHERS WHO ARE PART OF THE CHURCH FAMILY?

We have a “fellowship time” with coffee and snacks immediately following our service every Sunday morning. This is a great time to meet and greet those who are in attendance that day. Throughout the week there are those who meet for lunch or outdoor activities. Generally these are noted in your Sunday bulletin but you can also get more information by contacting the church office.
